All sparring today. I continued on my long term running escape project, which I've been doing for many years now. A big new piece of the puzzle came with the first Priit class I attended in 2017. I've been to a lot of them since, along with classes from Chris Paines, adding a lot to my running escape. At this point, I feel relatively safe there, but I need to be more proactive. The Telles turtle guard stuff could be of use.
Also, there are people that can partially break it down, mainly Matt H. So, more sparring with him, in order to develop the strategies and reactions when he opens up my running escape. It was mostly purple belts apart from me today: we're trying to make it into a regular 'higher belts open mat', which will be super useful if it becomes consistent.
