Artemis BJJ (MYGYM Bristol), Can Sönmez, Bristol, UK - 04/10/2016
Another new visitor today, though he just wanted to watch to start with (which is fine: BJJ is a strange looking sport, so it's understandable some people wanted to dip their toes into the grapply waters slowly ;D). The spike in new joiners continues to rise through October, which is awesome. With a few more people signing up, I'll be able to afford a Wednesday session down on the main mats, before the current Wednesday gi class. The goal after that will be another one on Mondays.
So far, I've been reinvesting into expanding the timetable: if we can get Mondays and Wednesdays, I'll have pretty much all the classes I want (I'm keen to do a Thursday day session too, but that will involve reducing hours at my office job. They've been very good to me, but I suspect it will be a while before I can wrangle that).
This will be a busy few days for me, as I've got that Star Trek convention I've been looking forward to for several months now on the Saturday, our #RollForNichole mini-GrappleThon on the Sunday, then Chelsea is back for her third seminar with us on Monday. Should be cool!
Then finally, episode four of the Artemis BJJ Podcast is now up, (here, with Rener Gracie. The man knows how to talk: I don't think any other person I've ever interviewed packed as many words into thirty minutes. ;D
